You may think that our busiest time of year here at the club in terms of activity is prior to the deer season, when you want to sight your gun for that big ten point you have your eye on. But, Spring and Summer are our hot times here at the club, and we want to let you know what we got. There are plenty of new, members that do not know of the opportunities for fun that we have to offer. Well, read, and then you're in the know.
ACTIVITIES
1. Monthly Meetings: Second Monday of the Month, 7:30 PM. Our meetings are mature forums to meet other outdoorsmen and discover what activities are available to you.
2. Trap: It’s time for the SUMMER LEAGUE, and shooting will begin on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. The league will be shot every Tuesday evening through mid-September. If you need a ham, we have the GOOD FRIDAY SHOOT on April 22, 2011, starting at 9:00 AM until whenever. For new members who have never shot shotgun or trap, come on out and find out why this is the club's favorite sport.
3. Popodickon Bowmen (Archery): We have our 3-D Shoots here at the club starting March 20, 2011, and the third Sunday of every month until September, 2011. If you want to practice realistic hunting situations and have fun doing it, this is the place. Please visit their web page at http://www.popodickonbowmen.com
4. Trout Rodeos: As you know, April 2, 2011 is the trout opener at 8:00 AM, and as a member, you can fish our totally stocked fish pond. It is for members only, and you must have a license if you are 16 or older. The Kid's Rodeo will be held on May 14, 2011, at 9:00 AM. All children must be a member, but if a child is not a member, we will sign them up right there so they can fish. Prizes will be given for the biggest fish for boys and girls.
5. Smallbore Silhouette: Our .22 league begins the first Wednesday in May, and continues every Wednesday until the last Wednesday in August, 2011. If you like rifle shooting on the cheap, this is it, at $1.00 per round of 20 shots. From September until the end of April, we shoot on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, except during cold or bad weather. We have a great group that shows, so be part of it.
6. Leni-Lenape Pistol Club: Their League starts the 1st Tuesday in April; 9:00 AM for the morning Relays and at 5:30 PM for the evening Relays. Practice for the month of April with the League starting in May. The League ends on the 18th of October. The Air Pistol & Air Rifle League begins on the 25th of October. 7. 300 Club Raffle: There are still a few tickets left for sale, so if you wish to purchase tickets, please contact Dallas Bieber at 610-987-3132. We have plenty of good, quality prizes in our drawings, and only 300 tickets to choose from, so you have a good chance to win.
8. RIFLE RANGE: Remember, follow all rifle range rules, which include having no more than 8 rounds per clip and no speed shooting. Obviously, clean up the range upon completion of your course of fire. The range is open from 8:00 AM until dusk Monday through Saturday, and 9:00 AM until dusk on Sundays. Safety is the primary concern of every member. DISPLAY YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD AT ALL TIMES.
