Centerfire Rifle Page
Special Note For Using
Semi-Automatic Centerfire Rifles
With todays concern with Noise and Military Style Firearms we have adopted this policy. This follows the NRA rules for competition in which during the Rapid Fire Match you have 90 seconds for 10 shots. You must reload during the string because of the capacity of the M1 Grand can only hold 8 rounds. Most competitors load 2 in the 1st magazine and 8 in the 2nd magazine.
1. There shall be no more than 8 rounds in any magazine at any time.
2. At no time shall there be any string of shots fired faster than 5 seconds
between shots.
PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POLICY TO ENSURE OUR CONTINUED ABILITY TO USE THESE TYPES OF FIREARMS ON OUR RANGE
At this time we do not have any Centerfire programs in place. The range is open for mostly sighting in, practice and fun shooting.
There are several steel plates hanging at 200 yards for reaction shooting. On work day we spend too much time repairing the plate range due to deliberate shooting of bolts, crossmenbers and chains. If this careless shooting continues then the plate range will be removed. It would be a shame if this happens. START POLICING THE RANGE FOR ABUSE AND USE BY NON MEMBERS.
PLEASE NOTE; THE RIFLE RANGE IS CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE ON THE 1ST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH FROM 8:00 AM UNTIL 1:00 PM. YOUR HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
NOTICE
DUE TO THE LARGE NUMBER OF NON - MEMBERS USING OUR RANGE ALL MEMBERS MUST HAVE THEIR MEMBERSHIP CARD ATTACHED TO THE BACK OF THEIR HAT USING THE STANDARD FISHING LICENCE HOLDER.
IF YOU ARE USING THE RANGE AND YOU SEE THAT THIS IS NOT BEING DONE POLITELY ASK TO SEE THE PERSONS MEMBERSHIP CARD.
